There is a strong reaction to globalization in the desire to be part of an identifiable group or clan. This is reflected in an appreciation for a tribal aesthetic: regional handicrafts and skilled craftsmanship are prized. Attention to detail and iconic ethnic embellishments and patterns are present in this trend.
