Cooler weather is approaching and fall fashions are on our minds. Recently we previewed the trends that we are projecting for Fall 2018-19, but what about the more immediate question of what to wear right now and through the end of this year? Look no further - here is a rundown of the top prints and patterns you will be seeing for Fall 2017...

1. Winter Florals

Think Florals are best kept for warmer weather? Think again - designers of all stripes sent florals down the runways for Fall 2017. Patterns ranged from overblown upholstery prints to dark hued roses and Asian-inspired floral motifs. For more great examples of winter florals, follow our Pinterest board with our Dark Secret trend research, projected for A/W 2017-18.

2. Leopard

This classic print is having a fashion moment and can be found on all kinds of garments and accessories for Fall 2017. It looks especially fresh when mixed with other prints like florals or camouflage patterns. To see other examples, follow our Pinterest board, Cat's Meow.

3. Camouflage

Speaking of camo, this pattern's versatility makes it able to read as somewhat neutral. It has the ability to be mixed and matched with lots of other prints and motifs. It is the mainstay of one of the trends we had projected trends for this season, Winter Soldier.

4. Folk Inspired

Eastern European inspired prints and embellishments. Paisleys, folk florals, and ikats adorn peasant blouses, flowing dresses and accessories. This is a very romantic trend that you can expect to find reaching well into the holiday season. For more insights on this trend, see our Bohemian Rhapsody board.

5. Plaids everywhere!

Plaids are everywhere to be found this Fall. The traditional menswear pattern has cropped up on every kind of womenswear from boxy suit jackets to draped dresses, sweaters and even accessories. What's more, they have been shot by every street style photographer on style influencers on their way to the runway shows. You will easily be able to insert this trend into your current wardrobe.
